Teamsters Food Shelf

"Teamsters Helping Teamsters"

Located on the first level of the Minnesota Teamster Building, our Food Shelf assists Teamster members and their families when they are out of work, sick or on strike. With help from members of the Minnesota Retirees Club and other volunteers, Food Shelf Manager Joe Kabacinski (2nd from left) distributes food to dozens of Teamster families each month.

Teamster employers donate food and personal care products to the Food Shelf, which is also generously supported by the Joint Council and its affiliated Local Unions.

The Teamsters Food Shelf is the only labor-run food shelf in the state of Minnesota. In times of trouble, Teamsters help Teamsters.

Teamsters Local 638 presented a $5000 check to the Food Shelf just in time for the 2007 Holiday Season.
